My Very Own Chat Room!

The Bandroom

And they said it'd never happen! :-) Here's something I've always wanted...my very own chatroom! (Please hold all applause til' you try it out...) Hope you enjoy it! Instructions for use can be found a little further below. Welcome to my new chat room. It's called The Bandroom (duh!), so check it out, hang out for a while, and see if anyone drops by! Now for a few little technical notes...

This chat room is made possible by EarthWeb and can only be used with a Java capable browser.

There may be times at which the chat room is not available due to overloaded servers, maintenence, too many users, etc.

Technical problems cause this program not to run with Mac Netscape Java Beta 1, Netscape for Windows 3.1, Timex-Sinclair 1000, TRS-80, or Espresso Machines (sorry, I do know about the many people that actually do use espresso machines to browse the web...can't support everything, y'know?) :-)

I would also like to add that when you are in the chat that you please refrain from bad language, discrimination, and all that other stuff they don't allow in the other chatrooms. It's here for everyone to enjoy and meet new people. Thanks!

To use this chat...

Make sure you have a Java-capable browser.
Enter your name and e-mail where specified (e-mail is used for logging purposes)
Click connect.
Enter your message by typing in the lower text box.
Send your message by pressing Enter.
When ready to disconnect, click the disconnect button. But why would you EVER want to do that?! :-)

Other things you can do...

Click on Channels to view a list of current channels to connect to.
Click on Float to put the chat in it's own window, allowing you to surf elsewhere while you chat.
Click on Unfloat while in "Float Mode" to put the chat back on my page.
To send a private message, type it and instead of hitting Enter, press the "Send privately" button instead.
